 Project Groundhog!On Feb 2, Groundhog Day, Puxetawny Phil, king of the groundhogs, saw his shadow. He predicts that we will have six more weeks of winter. Join us as we participate in Project Groundhog for our second year! Project Groundhog is a special theme project in which students practice weather observation, writing, geography, communication and other skills. Classrooms comunicate and children share information about their town and school. It's fun!  te@ch AwardNovember 7, 2006: Best Buy will be delivering our awesome te@ch award of $15,000 worth of technology tools next week! Alameda will see a renewal in its technology resources in the form of digital projectors, laptops, digital cameras and more! Go Panthers! News Flash! February 2006: Fantastic news! Ms. Gross and Mrs. Bradee are not only the recipients of the $2500 te@ch award again this year for continuation of Project H2Ole!, but our school has been awarded the only $15,000 te@ch award in New Mexico - one of only 36 such awards nationally! Go Panthers! Ms. Gross and teacher, Melisa Bradee at Alameda Elementary, are the recipients of a Best Buy te@ch Technology Award! This award recognizes teachers who are using technology to enhance student learning. We will use the grant to obtain more technology tools to make science learning even more exciting for students at Alameda. |
